Our host city Seoul houses 266 cultural properties including five royal palaces, and is also at the center of the “Korean Wave” pop culture phenomenon that spread throughout Asia.

Gyeongbokgung Palace |
Gyeongbokgung Palace is the primary residence for the royal family of Joseon Dynasty. It is the largest and most architecturally beautiful of the five palaces of Seoul. Although situated in the middle of the city, once inside the gates of the palace, you quickly forget the hustle and bustle of city life. |

Changdeokgung Palace and Secret Garden |
Changdeokgung Palace is the second royal villa and the most well-preserved of the five remaining royal Joseon palaces. Changdeokgung’s secret garden is kept as natural as possible and is touched by human hands only when absolutely necessary. |

Mt. Namsan and N Seoul Tower |
Located at the heart of Seoul, Mt, Namsan is a very popular for its restful walkways and excellent views of Seoul at night. At the top of Mt. Namsan, there is N Seoul Tower. Visitors to the tower’s observatory, the highest point in the capital city, can enjoy scenic views of Seoul while enjoying a meal in one of its two restaurants. |

Cheonggyecheon Stream |
In the past Cheonggyecheon Stream area was covered by a large overpass and filled with concrete. Then in October 2005 it was removed and the beautiful stream was uncovered. The stream has become one of Seoul’s major tourist destinations, and is a popular place for leisure and relaxation since it offers many beautiful sights to see and enjoy. |

The National Museum of Korea, opened in October 2005, has become a renowned showcase for Korean culture. The museum has adopted new ways of exhibiting its collection so that visitors are able to understand the displays in depth. It is home to a permanent exhibition hall displaying archaeological, historical, and donated artifacts related to Asia as well as a temporary exhibition hall. |

Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is a blend of traditional buildings, relics and cutting-edge modern multicultural facilities.
